The Circle J Ranch is a nearly 1,000 acre ranch located near Hempstead, TX. In 2008, the Voncannon family purchased the Circle J Ranch. The land now known as the Circle J has had cattle fed on native grasses and natural spring creeks that have run through the property for over a century.

By maintaining a diverse collection of native grasses in our pastures, we ensure a wealth of healthy microorganisms, critters, bugs, and grubs that our chickens can enjoy foraging to supplement their diet.

We believe in producing beef with an exceptional depth of flavor and high nutrient density. We achieve this by raising cows on pasture, and not in cramped feedlots. By grazing on a variety of grasses along with their optional feed and minerals, our beef develops a richness of flavor that can't be matched by finishing them on a strictly grain based diet in a dirt covered feedlot.
